Farmer's Market & picnic in the park.

Saturday we enjoyed a lot of time outdoors.
I packed us a cooler of food for a picnic and we headed to the Downtown Farmer’s Market at Pioneer Park. We took Sophie and she had so much fun walking around and seeing a lot of other dogs. I picked her out some dog bones at a fun stand that had a lot of dog treats to choose from. We also picked up a bunch of ears of corn.
The humane society had a booth set up with pets up for adoption. I only took a quick look, I’m a sucker for animals, especially the homeless kind.
After walking around the farmers market for a while and seeing everything, we decided to head to Sugar House Park for our picnic.
We laid out a blanket and had a little feast in the shade. Sugar House park is fun, and wasn’t crowded.
A little duck joined our picnic and I was surprised that Sophie only followed it around and didn’t chase it or anything. He wasn’t scared of her either, and hung out with us. Some homeless guy came and told us that the duck was someone’s pet and had been dumped earlier that day at the park. Maybe that’s why it was so social and seemed lost.
We played fetch with Soph and walked around the park.
It was the perfect way to spend a Saturday.
Our new schedules of having weekends off has been so nice and much needed.
