At the beginning of July Tif, her mom, her sister and I went down to St. George to see The Little Mermaid at Tuacahn. It was a super quick trip, we headed there on Friday morning, went to the pool & to the pizza factory for dinner (delicious). We planned on going to the play that evening then coming back Saturday morning. 40 minutes into the play it started pouring rain with crazy thunder & lightning. They stopped the play and we all waited under a pavilion for the storm to pass (for 45 minutes) until they decided it wasn't going to end anytime soon, so they canceled the rest of the show. Fortunately if a show gets canceled before intermission you get a refund on your tickets or the chance to exchange them for a later date. We decided to exchange them for a date in August, but we had to reschedule that date because of a conflict with Tif's mom’s schedule. We were finally able to go down to St. George again Sept 25-27th.
The Little Mermaid was AMAZING! The special effects and set were out of control! Tuacahn is an awesome Amphitheater.
I loved Sebastian, Ursula, Flotsam & Jetsam, and Prince Eric. Ariel was okay & King Triton kinda freaked me out with his awkward colored spray tan & sparkles.
Glad we went & had such a fun time on our Girl's Trip-Take 2! We are already planning next year's trip to see Aladdin.
Random quote from the trip:
"Cass do you have sunglasses on?"-me from the front seat asking her in the back.
"No..." -Cass.
"Says who?" -me.
"Says who??" –Tif directed to me
"Ya, that's me not believing her." -me.
--That won't make sense if you weren't there but it was super hilarious at the time.
Then random picture taking while driving ensued, which probably is never a good idea, but I'm pretty much obsessed with them anyway.
